@BarnesM - Gabriel's pixie cut was better than Willow's long hair. Willow's breathy innocence and wide eyed gormlessness was very annoying after a few series. Also, Willow at the height of her evil world destroying witchy-poo powers could be stopped by a kind word from "Care-Bear Stare" Xander. I prefer Gabriel to Willow.

Weeeell it got patchy after series 3. That was definitely the Golden Age.

But without the other seasons you don't get "Hush", "Restless" "The Body", "Storyteller" or, pertinently, "Once More With Feeling". The latter seasons seemed to basically have pretty mediocre eps surrounding truly stellar episodes. It was weird.

Not because of Xena is better than Buffy, but because Xena's Autolycus (The self proclaimed King of Thieves) is a much better supporting character than Buffy's Xander (the less impressively titled "Heart of the Scooby Gang").

Thanks guys, I really appreciate your feedback! Glad you liked it. Disappointed there aren't more people coming out in support of Xena (when you think about it, coming out to support Xena is entirely appropriate given the central relationship of the show).

I'm sure DiscoStu will be pleased as well. We're starting to muse over potential follow-up challenges.... suggestions are welcome!

Read them both it they are both GOLD! Congrats to you both for attempting to answer one of life's big questions, you should both get a Phd in Philosophy for that effort.

It is a tough choice though, I reckon I would pick Buffy. Problem is that it was such a standout episode in a crap season that it may be effecting my judgement.

So what's next? ER's live episode vs Home and Away (they did a live episode didn't they)?
