Saying but instead tells me that you're about to indulge in some hyperbole.

I can't comment on how the cakes tasted, but I'm confident I would prefer them tasting tarantula, which the blog (rather optimistically) says "You might also like".David Barryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08378763233797445502noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7795390.post-84264513037837166762012-02-17T15:03:19.649+10:002012-02-17T15:03:19.649+10:00I'm blushing! When I ate the cake I was dismayed that it had softened to the extent it had! Straight out of the fridge (which is how I ate the leftovers) I can assure you it was firm and rich, and altogether delightful.

But on a day as hot as that Saturday (I believe it topped 30 degrees) I suppose a rich cake will lose much of it's texture after sitting on a kitchen bench for three hours to be viewed by all and sundry. Alas, it is a problem I have yet to solve, but I can assure you I am working on it. I can only hope my next cake will please you more than this one did!Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14744029371480480749noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7795390.post-36742413687490199172012-02-17T14:53:05.781+10:002012-02-17T14:53:05.781+10:00Hi Anonymous,

The icing, like most icing on a cake decorated to this level was far to sweet and far to thick. This was however to be expected as most decorated cakes seem to have icing unintended to be consumed without severe heart palpitations.

Good luck to Kate on her continued venture.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7795390.post-89083390123257898942012-02-17T12:54:56.524+10:002012-02-17T12:54:56.524+10:00Very creative baker.Very creative baker.GChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15363046359586317320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7795390.post-35504137812698743122012-02-17T12:35:16.859+10:002012-02-17T12:35:16.859+10:00The ALP will win the election as sure as Kilimanja...The ALP will win the election as sure as Kilimanjaro rises like Olympus above the Serengeti.Sam Cliffordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06406645686477317069noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7795390.post-78647710875248507992012-02-17T12:33:04.318+10:002012-02-17T12:33:04.318+10:00Trust a bunch of white people to carve up Africa w...Trust a bunch of white people to carve up Africa with reckless abandon.Sam Cliffordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06406645686477317069noreply@blogger.com
