Wedding belles and travel bugs

Hey ho.

Well, I wish I could offer something more substantial, but it's just a bit of a ramble again.

My good friend Alisha is marrying her long-time love Mark this Sunday. That's only three days in which to buy a dress, a present and finish a speech I'm supposed to be giving. Eek! I hope it will be OK. I'm pretty nervous. About the speech really, I think everything else will go splendidly. And there'll be free food! Yay!

I'm trying to work out some stuff re: 4BC. Hopefully next week my new conveniently-skilled buddy Joseph and I will be recording some stuff for the history show I've been ruminating on for a while. I just need a good title now - something that makes history come across as dynamic and engaging. Because it is, dammit!

Voyages and journeys and all things travel are in the air...the aforementioned getting-hitched couple is heading off to Europe for seven weeks honeymoon. It makes one's feet itchy and the realisation it's been 18 months since I was last O/S (not counting a short spell in Port Vila last year for Gran's 80th) has me again contemplating another "grand tour".

The Wah and The Girl Clumsy also sat down this week to enjoy The Doctor, season two. David Tennant rocks - he's just adorable with a great smile. I like the way he wields his sonic screwdriver, if you know what I mean. Wa-hay. Best line of the show - "Oh my God! I'm a chav!" Other must-see viewing of late: V for Vendetta, which I just loved in strange and intimate ways; Frontline series two and three (my mate John IS Martin di Stasio, he just IS, it's freaky); Family Guy ("Cut, print, gay"); Scrubs (yes, yes, it's formulaic but some of the crazy shit is just really funny crazy shit) and Penn & Teller's Bullshit! - a great current affairs show hosted by the masters of showbiz magic.

So, um, yeah. That's about it. I wish Blogger would come up with some new templates. I really want a sexy website, and I'm over their formats. If I knew html I guess I could change it...but ah, well. Maybe in years to come I'll acquire that skill.

Cheers all, Natalie.

P.S. Have hair, will travel! Bon voyage and best of British luck big guy.
